futuregov are hiring…

Our friend Joe Smith (nearly an M.Des student – but he got snapped up by thinkpublic before he started…) is now working  futuregov  http://wearefuturegov.com/ – and they are hiring

We’re looking for some fresh blood to join our growing team. We currently have a number of projects we are working on and products we are developing and are looking for some extra design support.

What we’re after

Must haves:

Experience in using design to develop new services and products.
Is a “doer” – we like people who think hard, but can also get things done. And fast.
Be able to evidence creativity in work you have done.
Can balance direction with diplomacy; charming yet firm.
Has strong intuition and is not afraid to ask questions.
You will need to be self-managed and self motivated.

Should haves:

An understanding and a love of the internet, and understand its potential to transform services and improve society
If you can write well, we love you. If not, we can help 😉 But you should be able to articulate a problem and outline a solution that can be readily understood by others (both the client and FutureGov team, technical and less technical)
Strong graphic design skills – and can turn around print and web work at speed. We wont be spending days on it, but its got to look sharp.
Strong attention to detail and a critical eye
Worked with or in large organisations – and helping them change
Other passions. We want passionate people with fire in their belly
