Design for Services has been heralded as the new way of bringing creative thinking to complex problems.
In the past twelve months, students from the new Master of Design for Services Programme at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, University of Dundee have been tackling challenges from preventing young people re-offending to encouraging outdoor play to designing stroke rehabilitation. We have worked with businesses, public and not for profit organisations using design tools including observation, visualisation and prototyping to find new ways of engaging service users and providers to design better ways of doing things.
Our Masters Mixers are short, engaging talks from a selection of students and staff, in this grand, end of year Masters Mixer we will share the work we have been doing this year. There will be an opportunity for networking over light refreshments – and you could discuss your challenges for next year’s students to undertake.
We are delighted to have Gillian Easson, from Creative Dundee, chairing the event.
You can register for the event on eventbrite or if you prefer you can e.mail Mhari MacDonald: M.S.MacDonald@dundee.ac.uk.
The Masters shows in Animation, Forensic and Medical Art, Fine Art and Art and Philosophy have their private view at 6pm at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art &Design, if you wish to continue your evening with us.
