Our rather fine video on the Value of Service Design for Business has just been put on general release.
Our collaborators at Nile say:
“The team at Service Design Company Nile are heavily involved and supportive of the Service Design community, both through local activities and the Service Design Network. This video was created as part of our mentoring role in the Design for Services course at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee. Way back in January we challenged five groups of masters students to come up with some form of media that communicates the value of Service Design to businesses. This is the winning video (first released June 2013), it details some great work from Service Design companies working in the UK and abroad. This has been created for everyone in the community to share and use.”
Thanks to Sarah Ronald, Alexa Haynes, Andrew Sedlak and Sam Tilson at Nile for their support and mentoring and to Joyce Lee, Laura Malan, Nelly Trakidou, Wen Qiu and Chengchen Zhang of Design for Services, Design Ethnography and Product Design who made the video as part of their Masters Strategic Information Design module, and completed it on a week long placement with Nile in Edinburgh.
